Our Mission:
With dynamic classrooms, good character, high expectations and trailblazing spirit, all students can achieve success at Terry Fox Public School.
Our learning community is proud to bear the name of
Built in 2005, officially opened on September 29th 2006 with director Bill Hogarth and the Fox Family, our school endeavours to be a community of character, rising to and demonstrating all good character traits but especially those that we feel are most representative of Terry himself: respect, courage, perseverance, and optimism.
Terry Fox Trailblazers take pride in:
- being inclusive and celebrating our diversity: 20+ languages are currently spoken amongst our 350+ K-8 students and 25 staff;
- our caring sense of community: looking out for one another, not accepting bullying, and restoring relationships when we may have caused harm;
- raising funds every to support local charities and the Terry Fox Foundation;
- striving for a strong sense of global awareness and environmental responsibility: initiatives to support worldwide issues;
- demonstrating passion and motivation to meet individual and collective goals: knowing that success goes beyond academics, and believing excellence is possible with effort, support and time.
